The Round of 16 slate for the 2018 CONCACAF Champions League is set with matches slated to kick off in February. Here's a look at how the five MLS sides fared in the draw:
Seattle Sounders vs Santa Tecla (El Salvador)
Santa Tecla last appeared in the 2015-16 tournament where they took on Real Salt Lake in Group play. Santa Tecla drew 0-0 at home, but fell 2-1 on the road after taking a 1-0 lead in the second half.
New York Red Bulls vs Olimpia (Honduras)
Olimpia went 2-1-1 in group play in the 2016-17 tournament, losing to eventual champion Pachuca. In 2015-16 they were grouped with Seattle and Vancouver and finished 2-2 with wins over the Sounders (1-0) and Whitecaps (1-0) at home. In the 2014-15 tournament, Olympia knocked the Portland Timbers out during the group stage when they stunned Portland with a pair of early goals on their way to a 3-1 win in Tegucigalpa.
Colorado Rapids vs Toronto FC
At least one MLS club is guaranteed to reach the tournament's quarterfinals... During the 2017 regular season, Colorado and Toronto drew 1-1 in July. Toronto's goal was scored by Jay Chapman while Dominique Badji netter the equalizer for the Rapids. Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley and Tim Howard all missed the match.
FC Dallas vs Tauro FC (Panama)
During the 2014-15 tournament, Tauro FC was pitted against DC United. United defeated Tauro 2-0 in DC and 1-0 in Panama.
