The Cleveland Browns project to have two of the top six picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Just for kicks, I thought it would be interesting to see how many former first round picks are currently on the Browns roster. Turns out the answer is six with three of them coming from the 2017 Draft.
Joe Thomas - OT, Wisconsin - 2007, 3rd Overall
Danny Shelton - NT, Washington - 2015, 12th Overall - 27 tackles
Corey Coleman - WR, Baylor - 2016, 15th Overall - 20 receptions, 268 yards, 2 touchdowns
Myles Garrett - DE, Texas A&M - 2017, 1st Overall - 24 tackles, 5 sacks
Jabrill Peppers - S, Michigan - 2017, 25th Overall - 43 tackles
David Njoku - TE, Miami - 2017, 29th Overall - 29 receptions, 335 yards, 4 touchdowns
The only truly notable performer out of the group so far is Joe Thomas who was drafted way back in 2007 and has since played in 10 Pro Bowls. What happened to all of Cleveland's other first round picks after Thomas? Let's look:

2008 - No picks before 4th Round
2009 - Alex Mack - C, California - 21st Overall - 3 Pro Bowls w/ Browns, left in 2016 for Atlanta
2010 - Joe Haden - CB, Florida - 7th Overall - 2 Pro Bowls w/ Browns, left in 2017 for Pittsburgh
2011 - Phil Taylor - NT, Baylor - 21st Overall - All-Rookie Team in 2011, Last played in 2014
2012 - Trent Richardson - RB, Alabama - 3rd Overall - Traded to Indy in 2013, Currently in CFL
2012 - Brandon Weeden - QB, Oklahoma St - 22nd Overall - Released in 2014, Currently w/ Titans
2013 - Barkevious Mingo - DE, LSU - 6th Overall - 2016 Option not picked up, Currently w/ Colts
2014 - Justin Gilbert - CB, Oklahoma St - 8th Overall - Traded to Steelers in 2016, suspended for '17
2014 - Johnny Manziel - QB, Texas A&M - 22nd Overall - Released in 2016
2015 - Cameron Irving - C, Florida State - 19th Overall - Traded to Chiefs in 2017
Three quarterbacks, and only two Pro Bowlers out of sixteen players. Needless to say, the 2018 NFL Draft will be an important one for the Browns.
